He has minor detailing left, but I'm pretty happy with him. I previously owned a 58 named Chachi and after many years of not having a bugger along for the ride I had to get another one. I tried filling the void with a BMW, and other cars that don't deserved to be mentioned. But I love VWs and now I feel complete again. I make sure to hug him and give him a kiss each morning. I think my hubby is getting jelly. Hopefully I'll see some of you SoCal folks at the next Bugorama in Pomona or even Escondido? Toodles!

Welcome to the forum, and very cool car. Do you have any interior pics? Also, do you know if it was originally a Light Bronze car?

Yeah I have no idea what the original color was. I'm hoping to get it's birth cert from Wolfsburg soon. Yes I do have interior pictures, I'm just trying to figure out how to u/l them here.

To replace everything (some cosmetics, but mostly mechanical) the last owner did to it. He's at the doctor's right now because the last person who tried to fix him put in the wrong tranny mount. Luckily, he's at a place that does full restorations and they are the kind of folks that won't put a part on the car, that they wouldn't put on their own cars. They understand me and my bug. There are plenty of places that can fix VVW's here in SoCal, but only a few that can actually do it right!
