I was in need of a muffler for my 58. The one that was on it was an NOS one that I had installed back in 95 when I first got the car running. I know that WW sells repops for around $165 + shipping, but I really wanted to stick with a German muffler. After searching for about a month or so, getting beat out on two NOS ones on ebay, and that in my mind went for too much money anyway, I found this one on the samba. It was NOS, and a little rough, but was a decent price so I jumped on it. After a little little clean up here is the end result.

Very nice. I did the same thing to the original one to my car.

Very nice. I did the same thing to the original one to my car. Thanks Dean. Its sorta weird, this new exhaust seems more loud than the other one that was on the car, and on the other one the heat riser had broke off from the exhaust. I triple checked, and I don't have any exhaust leaks......

I run different exhaust tips on mine, so it's a little louder too. I like it that way.
