So i am wondering if 58 mirror is also a 58 to 59 yr only? I tried to fit a 61 mirror but it was too big. I tried a pear shaped and it doesnt work too. I really would like to find one that actually works. Thanks.

So the hole at the base of the 61 mirror is to big for the bolt on the door hinge? Post pics if you can.

I sold the 61 along with the mirror but ill try to explain clearly as i can. Ok 61 has the hinge with no thread on half of the bottom hinge. 58 is not the same. It has a spacer on it and threaded on the whole hinge. Smaller than the 61.

Is this the style on your 58? And is the style on your 61?

Both have the same hinge as the first pic. Seems like my 58 has a spacer just stuck on it and really hard to get out.

Does anyone know if there is a way to install a passengers side mirror on the door hinge? I have a very tight garage spot it would be helpful.

Basically, you drive out the hinge pin and replace it with a pin with threads. WW sells both the pins and the right hand side mirrors, but just and fyi, in my opinion the right hand mirrors look ugly as hell on a car. Because from the drivers seat you need to be able to see out it, it will stick out really far. I kills the athletics.
