This is my 1958 Euro Convertible. I was not actively looking but this unfinished, Strato Silver bug found me and I could not resist. Previous owner had work done to get it to this point and stopped. He then moved 500 miles and left it sit in an Iowa garage for ten years. Previous owner had lost interest and just wanted it gone, complete with Denhe fuel gauge, rebuilt convertible semaphores, correct mirror, and new canvas top. He also included new German square weave carpet and correct upholstery, all ruined by mice. Lastly, the car came with zero mile engine and tranny rebuilt with NOS bearings but never added the oil. Wow, a Euro vert? Must be nice, lol. ;D When you can post up some more pics please. I love where VW put the semaphores on the verts.
