Hey fellas, I have an Nos wire cover, but had to buy one of WW trunk liners. They come in black, and I wanted it to match my wire cover. I tried to find the right color, and spray it, but the color I came up with is a little to light. I heard that WW L43 paint is the right color, but before I spend the money on it I wanted to know if anyone has used it for either their wire cover, or trunk liner, and if it is indeed the correct color. www.wolfsburgwest.com/cart/DetailsList.cfm?ID=paintL43

Do you have to use a paint designed for paper/cardboard?

Do you have to use a paint designed for paper/cardboard? I used vinyl paint to paint it the color it is now. But, like I said, its to light, and I cant seem to find the right color. But, ya considering you are painting cardboard I would want to use something with flexing agents in it, but I heard somewhere, that the WW L43 is the correct dark grey color.

Hmmm, I have the opposite problem. I have an NOS trunk liner and a black wire cover. I would love to know what color you decide on before I spray my wire cover the wrong color.

Wanna trade! ;D lol I will let you know what I find. If the weather stays decent this weekend I may try and track down the right color. Here is a pic, you can see how the liner doesn't match the wire cover.

This set is listed as having come out of a 62, but is it the right shade for 58/59's? It looks like the correct color to me, but I find it weird that its grey. I thought in 60 they all went to black.

What color is that on your gas tank? sorry for hijacking your thread.[/quote] The paint was matched to a nice spot on the tank, and unfortunately I didn't get the code for it. But, over on the samba, I found these listed on another thread. Maybe it will help. And in Glasurit
